Family Fun at Swaders Sports Park

Good morning and welcome to another moment with Shona! Today I want to share our family fun we had last Saturday at Swaders Sports Park in Virginia.

Last Saturday, our day was t going as planned. We were planning on going to Chuckie Cheese, but my husband slept too long and the day was moving faster than I liked. I don’t like going to Chuckie when it’s super crowded, so we opted out of that idea. Then, I thought of Swaders! We went there once and our kids loved it, so I figured why not?

The weather was perfect that day. Swaders is a great spot for family fun. I mean they have a decent sized arcade room, laser tag, go carts, a batting pit, a kids activity area with slides and small tunnels within where they can swing off ropes and land in foam. They have miniature golf and a little spot to eat too!

The kids were very excited to get in the kids activity area, so they did that first. I think they must have been in there for 30 minutes or so lol! My husband and I were like, um.. are y’all going to do anything else? Lol! I did have time to take Lovèah into the toddler section, but she was not feeling it at all! I found that strange because she loved it the first time we went.

Once we left the kids activity area, we went to the go carts. I felt kind of sad because my 8 year old A’Niyah did not meet the height requirement to drive a go cart herself, so only Jeremiah and her younger sister were able to drive alone. I would watch Niyah’s face every now and then and it looked like she was upset about it. She looked like she was going to cry. But once she found out she was riding with her dad, she got happy again!

Now, my husband thinks he’s the world’s best driver {I mean, he’s ok, but the best… I’m not sure about that}! Do you think he came in first place? Ha! He almost crashed into… wait, he did crash into a lady information of him lol! But he did also come in first place! You know that kind of blew his head up a bit lol! But don’t tell him I said that…

After the go carts, we went back inside to play some games and grab some much needed grub. Now, you know I’m on my set meal plan, so the only thing I could eat was a chicken sandwich with nothing on it. I stayed on my plan though, so it’s ok! Oh, and I also had a couple fries, then I was like..I can’t, and gave them to my kids Hey, I’m trying to get killer abs!! Lol!

Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend insuring Swaders when you visit Virginia!

Until next time, “laugh hard, love harder, capture each moment & sprinkle a little joy in someone else’s life.” – XO Shona
